1980-1996 Bronco Rear Bumper with Tire, Gas and Cooler racks.
This sleek full size Bronco bumper is made from ¼” plate steel and offers the best body protection and style available for your full-size Bronco. With its easy bolt-on installation that requires no welding or drilling, it’s hard to beat. Our RockSolid rear bumpers wrap around the rear corners to provide protection for those precious quarter panels and also have Hi-Lift Jack access holes* cut into the bottom area should you ever need to use one to get yourself out of a tricky situation.

Orders placed before 06/16/2025 came WITH an unrated receiver and the 5/8″ pivot system unless ordered otherwise. They did not come with the rack lockout system unless ordered that way specifically.
Orders placed between 06/16/2025 and 09/31/2025 automatically came with a 3/4″ pivot system and the branded pivot brace as well as the rack lockout system at no additional charge. If you desire a receiver, you need to add the receiver to the bumper for an added charge.
Orders placed on or after 10/01/2025 come WITH an unrated receiver, a 3/4″ pivot system with PF branded pivot brace as well as the rack lockout system.
We created more space between the rear bumper and the open tailgate because of some reports that the XLT / Eddie Bauer Trim was hitting the cam bale.
IF you run into an issue with the tailgate trim hitting the cam bail when the tailgate is open, you can run a new cable stop (approx 17″) on your tailgate. Otherwise, you will have to notch the trim.
There have been several people who have successfully put these bumpers on pickup trucks. Please keep in mind that these bumpers are made for the Ford Bronco and the stock axles they come with. These bumpers will fit on F-Series pickups however the frame is not the same, and sometimes the bolt pattern for the spare tire will be different.
Mounting the rear bumper to a pickup truck is possible, however it may require moderate to heavy modification to install the bumper properly.
You will have to order the correct wheel plate to make the spare tire fit. 8 lug wheel plates are an additional $45.
The frame mounts will also need to be ordered unwelded and you will need to modify/create a custom bracket for mounting.
We DO NOT recommend putting these bumpers on pickup trucks unless you have an experienced fabricator contracted for the job. We also DO NOT provide installation assistance for this application.
Description
This bumper includes a unique rack designed to hold up to a 37” spare tire and a 2nd rack that holds one 5-gallon (20 liter) military style NATO Can (Jerry Can) as well as a 16″ x 24″ cooler rack.
*These are access holes for use of the Hi-Lift jack. We do not currently offer a solution for Hi-Lift jack storage.

**This statement applies to our Fully Welded edition. The other editions require several hours of welding and grinding. Additionally, If you order a body lift, there may be a couple holes you have to drill.
What’s Included:
Unique Swing-Out Rack Design
Made of 2″ x 3″ x 0.188 wall rectangular tube. The hinge uses two 3/4″ permanently lubricated heim joints each with a static radial load of 15,850 lbs to open the rack. To beef up the pivot, we also include our branded PF pivot brace, adding strength and style to your swing-out rack.
Coveted Cam Latch Mechanism
Our coveted Cam latch mechanism is fitted to all our swing out racks. It is adjustable and offers many years of rattle free use.
Rack Lockout System
The bumper is also fitted with our new Rack Lockout System which stops the open carrier at a safe location preventing it from swinging into the side of your truck and also back at you.
Receiver Hitch
- Lastly, we included a 2” unrated receiver hitch which is capable of pulling the stock recommended weight for your Bronco.
- This statement applies to our 1/4″ bumper. If you plan on using the receiver to tow, please use your best judgement.
- Our hitches are unrated but can support the stock towing capacity of a Bronco (we do not claim this on f-series trucks) as our bumper mounting system bolts on the vehicle frame.
- Small and lightweight single axle trailers are typically safe to tow behind your Bronco.
- If you tow something that you shouldn’t be towing with your Bronco, you could seriously injure yourself or others should something fail. We are not liable for any damage, loss or injury.
